● You have assigned the user profiles to the avwuser parameter in your Auctioning via Web Shop component configuration in Extended Configuration Management (XCM). For more information, see the configuration documentation in SAP Solution Manager.
● You are logged on to Web Auctions Administrator as a seller at:
The seller can create single or multiple auctions. The seller can create these auctions as private auctions or public auctions and in broken lots or full lots.

● If creating multiple auctions, the seller must fill in the Quantity per Auction field, to determine how many items will be sold in each auction lot.
● In the case of broken lots, you set the number of items per lot and the price per lot.
The seller determines whether bids are open bids or sealed bids. This determines whether the bidder can see bids made by others or only their own bids. The seller can also set a reserve price and a bid increment, and provide extra information on terms and conditions which will displayed with the auction in the Web shop,
Products for auctioning must be in the product catalog, otherwise they are not available to the seller for selection. If a product does not have an image maintained you can add the URL to the image in the auction details area.
The seller can create auctions for particular target groups, individual business partners, or for all Web shop users. If the seller selects particular groups or business partners during auction creation, these users will automatically receive an invitation email containing a URL to the auction.
The systems
flags auction products in the product catalog with a gavel icon
.
This icon is displayed to all Web shop users if the auction is public. If the auction is a private auction the system only displays the icon to invited users. Users click on the icon and are brought to the auction and able to bid.
To enable automatic winner determination the administrator schedules a task in Web Auctions Administration. This task enables the system to determine the highest bid from the closed auction and the business partner who made the bid. Alternatively you can flag an auction during the creation period as valid for manual winner determination. In this situation the seller manually closes an auction and displays the bids. The seller can then choose a winner from the list of bids, regardless of whether this is the highest bid or not.
The seller can move back and forth between the auction creation screens to add, delete, or change entries before the auction is saved. The seller can copy a previously created auction and give it a new name and title, to save on repeatedly filling in the same information for each auction. The seller saves the created auction and can publish it in the Web shop and monitor it in Web Auctions Administration.
