Prerequisites

·        You have configured the Web Auctions Administration application on the SAP J2EE server. For further information see the configuration documentation in SAP Solution Manager.

·        You have an internet user with an administrator profile assigned to it. For more information on user creation, see User Management. You create profiles in SAP CRM in the SAP Easy Access menu under Architecture and Technology ® System Administration ® User Maintenance ® Role Maintenance.

You have assigned the user profiles to the avwuser parameter in your Auctioning via Web Shop component configuration in Extended Configuration Management (XCM). For more information, see the configuration documentation in SAP Solution Manager.

Features

The following tasks are available for scheduling in Web Auctions Administration:

     Close Auctions

System searches for auctions which have reached their end date and changes their status to closed.

     Publish Auctions

Publishes your scheduled auctions in the Web shop. The seller can set a publishing date for an auction, but it is dependent on the settings you make in this task. For more information on publishing auctions as a seller, see Auction Publishing for the Web Shop.

     Update Winners

System searches for closed auctions flagged for automatic winner determination, determines the winner, and creates a purchase order for the auction in SAP CRM. The system fills in the winners details automatically in the purchase order. If there are no winners, the system changes the auction status to Closed without winner.

Activities

You can view basic information about a task In the Task Schedule overview. You can mark the task and select a task execution option (for example Run Now or Pause).

You can select a task from the table and edit the details.

You can display an overview of each execution of the task by selecting the task from Schedule Task overview. The Execution History displays the start and end times for each run of the task, the status (for example, success), and a hyperlink to the detailed Log. The system displays a detailed log of steps taken during the running of the task, in which steps errors occurred, and an explanation of the error.
