Object documentation Course Content (Infotype 5009)  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

As administrator you have created the infotypes Delivery Method (5007) and Course Type Content (5006) for a location-independent course. A course participant has booked himself or herself on a course.

In this infotype, the system stores information on the most up-to-date version of the course type content at the time the course is booked for a time- and location-independent course (for example, WBT or online test).

Example

Prerequisite

A course participant has made a booking for the single, self-paced WBT course Programming in JAVA for a given date.

Process flow in the system during booking

1.       The system creates the object course Programming in JAVA.

2.       The system creates the relationship between the course participant and the course Programming in JAVA.

3.       In the Course Content infotype (5009), the system shows the administrator the most up-to-date version of the Web-based course Programming in JAVA.

4.       When another participant makes a booking for the course Programming in JAVA, the system checks again whether there is a more up-to-date version of the Web-based course Programming in JAVA.

-         If there is a more up-to-date version of the course, the system assigns this course version to the participant.

-         If there is not a more up-to-date course version the system assigns the same version that was already assigned to the other participant to this new participant.

In this way the administrator can check:

which version of the Web-based course is being used.

Infotype maintenance

The SAP system maintains this infotype for you.
