SAP Retail Store

Purpose

You can install the SAP Retail Store at business locations to provide staff with an easy-to-use Web-based user interface for certain mySAP Oil & Gas and mySAP Retail functions.

Implementation Considerations

Functions in mySAP Oil & Gas handle the wet stock business, whereas functions in mySAP Retail handle the merchandise business. Depending on the business focus, an oil company may install one or both of these systems.

Integration

The SAP Retail Store integrates mySAP Retail and mySAP Oil & Gas functions in a single Web front end. For a description of merchandising functions available, refer to the mySAP Retail documentation.

When you define each Retail Network Business Type in Customizing for the Industry Solution Oil & Gas (Downstream), you also define SAP Retail Store settings. You must:

Enter the URL of the Internet Transaction Server instance for the business type
Select the type (for example, bulk fuel or merchandising) of Internet application components that you want to make available
Define whether Human Resources (HR) functions should be available
