Presizing in Materials Management
Use
In the AFS standard system you can determine quantities of grid values in purchasing documents via previously defined distribution profiles. For example, if your requirement of men’s T-shirts is dependent on the size, you determine a distribution profile and distribute the requested quantities and purchase order quantities accordingly (for example, 10% small; 20 % medium; 40% large; 30% extra large). If you want to use presizing in
purchase requisitions, requests for quotations and quotations, contracts or purchase orders, please note the following: Since you create distribution profiles for requirements categories and in purchasing documents stock categories are used, distribution profiles that you want to use in Purchasing cannot contain any categories. If you create distribution profiles for Purchasing, enter a wildcard (*) in the field Requirements Category so that the distribution profile is valid for all requirements and stock categories.Procedure
To distribute quantities in purchasing documents, follow these steps:
in the item overview of the purchasing document in order to be able to process data at SKU level.
to distribute quantities from grid values according to the predefined distribution profile. If you have not defined a distribution profile this will distribute them evenly among all the selected SKUs.
