Extracting Data with Audit Package Management
You use audit package management to create audit packages in Retention Warehouse and to extract archived data referenced in the audit packages to the SAP NetWeaver BW system or to local reporting.
Audit Package Management belongs to the Retention Warehouse and follows the process Archive Selection with End-to-End Audit Area.
You can run the Web-Dynpro-ABAP-based applications of Audit Package Management in the user interfaces listed below. (You need the Business Package for Retention Warehouse Administration.)
SAP NetWeaver Portal
Users with the backend role ILM audit package administrator
(SAP_ILM_WP_ADMIN
) process their audit packages using the Web-Dynpro-ABAP-based user interface of Audit Package Management. This user interface is further based on the personal object worklist (POWL) of the ILM audit package administrator. This worklist contains an overview of the audit areas and provides access to the following applications that you can use to create and process audit packages:
Create
You use this application to create an audit package for the archived data that you have assigned to an audit area and selected in an audit package template. For more information, see Creating Audit Packages in Retention Warehouse.
Delete
You use this application to delete an audit package, provided that there is no content and no infrastructure related to the audit package in SAP NetWeaver BW. If necessary, you first have to delete the related content and infrastructure in SAP NetWeaver BW using the Clean Up BI
application.
Extract to BI
You use this application to extract audit packages to SAP NetWeaver BW. For more information, see Extracting Audit Packages to SAP NetWeaver BW.
Local Reporting
You use this application to run reporting without BW and display the contents of audit packages directly or save these contents locally. You can also save the data in SAP Audit (AIS) format so that you can then forward it to the tax authorities in this format. For more information, see Local Reporting.
Clean Up BI
You use this application to delete the content and infrastructure that was created in SAP NetWeaver BW for an audit package. To delete infrastructure in SAP NetWeaver BW, you follow the steps for creating infrastructure but in reverse order (see Extracting Audit Packages to SAP NetWeaver BW).
However, the system is not able to delete objects that are linked to additional objects in SAP NetWeaver BW, for instance to a virtual InfoProvider. If you find links like this, you have to delete the additional objects in SAP NetWeaver BW manually.
Display Details
You use this application to display the audit package details. You can display the following lists:
Content
This is a structured list of the referenced tables that is broken down by system and client and displays the status. Once you have created the infrastructure for an audit package in SAP NetWeaver BW, the system shows which objects are assigned to these tables in SAP NetWeaver BW. You can select a table in the list to display more detailed information for it.
BI Objects
Once you have created the infrastructure for an audit package in SAP NetWeaver BW, the system shows this infrastructure from the top down, broken down into InfoAreas, InfoProviders, and InfoObjects (with subdivisions by characteristics, key figures, and units).
Logs
This list shows the logs that the system created when the infrastructure and content were created in SAP NetWeaver BW. You can display the individual logs.
Display Segment Data
Once you have created the infrastructure for an audit package in SAP NetWeaver BW, the segment catalog shows which objects are assigned to the tables in SAP NetWeaver BW.
Reschedule Job
If the extraction to SAP NetWeaver BW is terminated for some reason, you can restart the job. The system remembers for which tables it already created which objects in SAP NetWeaver BW and continues with the extraction from that point. The system creates only those objects in SAP NetWeaver BW that it did not create already.
The applications of Audit Package Management contain explanations for the individual steps, that you can display when needed.
