Calling Up the DS Planning Board in Order Processing With the two differently configured detailed scheduling planning boards that you can invoke in the order processing view , you plan in the environment of the order that you are currently processing.
Planning board 1 shows a product chart in the standard system with the input and output products of the order. All orders for these products are shown in the diagram section. The order you are currently processing and the associated orders linked by pegging relationships are highlighted in color. Green lines are used to depict dynamic pegging relationships between orders, whereas red lines denote fixed pegging relationships.
Planning board 2 shows several charts in the standard system, including, for example, a resource chart in which the resources on which orders are to be executed are displayed. The situation of the operations on these resources with regard to time is represented for these resources.
In order processing and the DS planning board that you call up in order processing, you perform simulative planning in a similar way to the directly called DS planning board on the basis of the planning versionfor which you have called up order processing. In contrast to the directly called DS planning board, you cannot explicitly save the simulation versionin order processing for further processing at a later date if required. If you exit and save order processing, you also copy the changes that you have performed in the DS planning board for the schedule to the planning version.
