Profile MaintenanceProfiles are used to configure the detailed scheduling planning board (DS planning board) and integrated functions. SAP issues standard profiles for the DS planning board that you cannot change. The following process describes how you can create and use your own profile.
Create a profile.
You can do this, if necessary, by copying the default profile and making changes to it. The following table shows where you can create profiles.

In Customizing for
|

You enter the profile at the relevant position:
For the DS planning board,

in the area menu for
Production Planning
, you can enter the profile when calling up the planning board, or you can enter an overall profile in the user maintenance. You can change selected settings interactively under
Settings
(for example, in the
strategy profile
) or select other profiles (exceptions: overall profile, work area and propagation range).
For order processing, the product planning table and the DS planning boards integrated into these applications, you enter the profile in Customizing for
Global Settings, Order Processing
and the
Product planning table
. These profiles are default values. You can change settings in the profiles interactively under
Settings
or under
(for example, in the
strategy profile
) or you can select other profiles (for example, the propagation range).
