Selecting Objects to be Scheduled You can select activities, operations or orders that you wish to schedule as follows:
By selecting the objects on the detailed scheduling planning board
By selecting a period in the periodic view or by selecting certain operations or activities in the operation list in the resource planning table
By specifying the objects in the production planning run
In choosing a specific object, you automatically choose further objects, as follows:
By choosing an order, you choose all operations in that order.
By choosing a resource, you choose all the operations on the resource whose start date/time falls within the planning period .
By choosing an activity on the detailed scheduling planning board, you choose the entire operation.
When you create an order in the
SAP APO
system or transfer an order to the
SAP APO
system, the chosen orders are the order and its component orders.
Note
So that the scheduling remains consistent in accordance with your detailed scheduling strategy the system not only schedules the chosen objects, but may also automatically schedule further objects:
If you schedule with an insert scheduling mode , the system must move operations to a resource in order to create slots for an operation to be inserted, or to close gaps.
If you have specified that time relationships or pegging relationships are to be adhered to, the system must also schedule or reschedule dependent objects accordingly.
