
Definition of Budget Structure with BS Templates

Defining a budget structure using commitment item groups supports a clear and quick way of allocating budget for:

In this step, you define the number of BS template and the commitment items contained in them with their appropriate object function.
Defiining Budget Structure Using BS Templates.In this step, you assign an existing BS template to the appropriate funds centers.

Note that you must set the indicator Use BS Templates for the definition of a budget structure with BS template.
Generating Budget Structure from Templates.The system generates the budget objects and posting objects for all commitment items contained in the commitment item groups in the respective funds centers. In budget allocation, the budget hierarchy is then set up according to this budget structure definition.
You should not execute this program if your valid BS already has budget values. Changing the BS can cause inconsistencies in the budget data.
If you execute the program and make changes to a valid BS with budget data, you must reconstruct the distributed and assigned values afterwards. You can find more information on these programs under
I there are inconsistencies in the budget data, you can remove them in two ways:

Program BPDIST05 does not guarantee that all inconsistencies in the budget data are eliminated. SAP therefore recommends that you eliminate inconsistent data using reconstruction of distributed values and manual budget adjustment.

Result
The budget structure only contains the elements, which are needed in your organization for central or local budgeting from all possible combinations of funds centers and commitment items. Only combinations of funds centers and commitment items that can be budgeted appear in the budget hierarchy.
