Use

When you create a test, you must specify how the test is structured. The test structure may consist of the following elements:

You use the Performance Assessment Workbench (PAW) Author component to edit the test from the Knowledge Workbench.

Prerequisites

You must have already created the test info object in the Knowledge Workbench Explorer.

Procedure

  1. Select the test info object in the Knowledge Workbench Explorer and then choose Info Object ® Edit Info Object(s).
  2. The PAW Author component opens with an empty test template.

  3. If necessary, insert sub-tests by choosing Test ® New Sub-test.
  4. A sub-test icon appears under the test in the structure.

  5. Insert performance units in the test structure. You can organize performance units and items under tests or sub-tests.
  6. Drag and drop a performance unit container to a sub-test to assign the items within the container.
  7. All items in the performance unit appear in a selection list.

  8. Choose the items you want to assign to the test structure.
  9. Select the test object and then choose Test ® Attributes….
  10. The Edit test attributes dialog box appears.

  11. Specify the attributes for the test. For more information, see Test Attributes.
  12. Insert an introduction info object for the test by dragging the info object and dropping it on the field Introduction title in the Edit test attributes dialog box.

Note

You create the introduction info object similarly to other info objects but with info class Generic. You can use the introduction template to create your own introductions.

  1. Insert a feedback info object for the test by dragging the feedback info object and dropping it on the field Feedback template title in the Edit test attributes dialog box.

Note

You create the feedback info object similarly to other info objects but with info class KWPWFTE. For more information, see Test Feedback Creation. There are two feedback templates ( Feedback Template A and Feedback Template B) that you can use to create feedback info objects.

  1. Specify the attributes for the sub-test. For more information, see Sub-test Attributes.
  1. Display attributes for performance unit and item, if necessary. You can edit the attributes for performance units and items directly in the respective object.
