General Information about <Test> Item Formats

<Test> contains <Number> items to be completed in <Total test time>. The following item formats are used in <Test>:

Multiple Choice

Multiple choice (MC) items can have one or more correct answers. You answer MC items by clicking on the button(s) next to the correct answer(s). Make sure you read the instructions for each item to determine whether more than one answer applies. In most cases, MC items with only one correct answer have radio buttons that you use to select an answer. That means if you have selected an answer and then select a different answer, the first answer alternative button is no longer marked. In this case, it is not possible for you to select more than one answer. This is not the case for MC items with more than one correct answer.

Multiple Choice Explicit

Multiple choice explicit (MC explicit) items have more than one correct answer. They differ from the MC item format in the number of selection buttons available for each answer alternative. MC explicit format is also known as true/false format. Each MC explicit item has two buttons for each answer alternative, so you must explicitly specify for each answer whether it is correct or incorrect.

Fill-In

For fill-in items, type your answer in the appropriate text field.

Rating:

<If used with test item formats: In contrast to item formats MC and MC explicit, rating items have no correct or incorrect answers.>

Rating items are scales, which you use to articulate your opinions, judgements, values, requirements or similar. You complete rating items by clicking on the scale rating that most closely represents your opinion, judgement, evaluation, or similar.

Test Feedback

Once <Test> is ended, either automatically or manually with the end test button, you receive feedback <about your test results>. You can click on an individual item in the test structure to see feedback specific to the item. You can return to the <Test results> by clicking the <Test icon > in the test structure.
