Using Work Items
Use
Work items are used in the SAP Business Workflow/WebFlow to execute the individual steps of a workflow. Work item are subdivided into work item types. Every work item type characterizes a specific type of execution of the work item and controls the internal editing processes. The type of a work item decides on the permitted status and status transitions.Features
The work items can be divided into two groups depending on their type. The first group of work items is displayed in the Business Workplace of users and is executed by the users. The second group of work items is only used and executed in the internal system and is never displayed in the Business Workplace of a user.

Activities
All work items that the user can execute are listed in the Business Workplace of a user. The user can start execution directly from the Business Workplace. The work items listed can also be displayed from the Business Workplace.
If you need an overview of the work items currently in the workflow system, go to the
Work Item Selection. This function can be used to also find and display work items not listed in the Business Workplace.
