Using Web Work Items 

Use

The workflow system creates a Web work item when a Web activity is executed. If the Web activity definition specifies that the system should wait for feedback, the Web work item is not set to status completed until this reply is received. If the system is not to wait for a reply, the Web work item is not set to status completed until the HTTP reply of the system called is received.

Web work items are not displayed in the Business Workplace. You can only locate these work items using the work item selection.

A Web work item can also be identified with the type code R in the technical information on the workflow.

A Web work item can assume the same statuses as a background work item. For further information, refer to Status of a Background Work Item.
