Setting Up the Transaction Data Extractor (w/Cum. Key Figures)

Use

You can also use InfoCube 0ECCS_C01 with cumulative key figures. This means that you do not need to make changes to the InfoCube definition.

Note

If until now you have been using the old version of the transaction data extractor (with DataSource 3EC_CS_1 and InfoSource 0EC_CS_1), note that defined queries remain executable. However, you should delete existing data in the InfoCube and reload it using the new extractor.

Prerequisites

If you are using custom subassignments, you must have set up the extractor for custom subassignments.

Furthermore, you must have carried out the following steps (for details, see Integration of BW and EC-CS):

You created the source system in BW.
You generated the DataSource.
You executed the metadata upload from the source system into BW.

Procedure

You carry out the following activities in BW:

Proceed as when setting up the extractor without cumulative key figures. Do not, however, remove the cumulative key figures from the InfoCube or replace the time characteristic 0FISCPER.

Do, however, assign DataSource 3EC_CS_1A (instead of DataSource 3EC_CS_1) to InfoSource 0EC_CS_1.

Result

You can now periodically transfer transaction data from the source system (EC-CS) to BW.
