Prerequisites

If you are using custom subassignments, you must have set up the extractor for custom subassignments.

Furthermore, you must have carried out the following steps (for details, see Integration of BW and EC-CS):

Procedure

  1. If not done already, Create a new InfoCube, using InfoCube 0ECCS_C01 as a template.
  2. In the new InfoCube, replace the time characteristic 0FISCPER with 0FISCYEAR and 0FISCPER3.
  3. Remove the YTD key figures.
  4. Add to the InfoCube the InfoObjects that were created or selected for the custom subassignments.
  5. Create a new dimension in the InfoCube, or assign the InfoObjects for the custom subassignments to an existing dimension.
  6. Activate the InfoCube.
  7. Enhance the InfoSource 0EC_CS_1. Here, you have to add InfoObjects for the custom subassignments to the communication structure.
  8. If not done already, assign the source system to InfoSource 0EC_CS_1.
  9. Assign DataSource 3EC_CS_1A (rather than DataSource 3EC_CS_1) to InfoSource 0EC_CS_1.
  10. In the transfer structure, remove the YTD key figures (InfoObjects 0CS_YTD_LC, 0CS_YTD_GC, 0CS_YTD_TC, 0CS_YTD_QTY).
  11. Under Transfer Structure/Transfer Rule, define the transfer rules for the custom subassignments. In so doing, you assign each field name to an InfoObject.
  12. Activate the transfer structure with transfer rules.

  13. Create the update rules for the InfoCube with InfoSource 0EC_CS_1.

In these update rules, the characteristics 0FISCYEAR and 0FISCPER3 must be determined from 0FISCPER.

Activate the update rules.

Result

You can now periodically transfer transaction data from the source system (EC-CS) to BW.
