Use

This function enables you to split an entry document. This means that you create two or more new entry documents from an entry document.

Example

Dirty cans of paint accumulate at a waste generator’s, which are collected in a central accumulation point. An entry document is created for the waste Dirty paint cans, which contains all the required data (for example, account assignment data). The waste is treated in the accumulation point and separated into empty cans and paint residues. This produces two new wastes that have to be disposed of separately. The entry document that was originally created is then split. Two new entry documents are created, which contain the wastes Can and Paint residues. The waste generator and the account assignment data are automatically transferred to the new entry documents when the original document is split, a reference to the original waste generator being produced.

Integration

You can execute this function for all entry documents that have not yet been cleared, which means that you can also execute it for entry documents for which the functions post, clear, or storage bin transfer have been executed.

Prerequisites

The entry document to be split contains a waste quantity.
