Definition

Document on which data can be output from the SAP Environment, Health and Safety component and other SAP components. A report is generated from a report template with the help of a report generation variant.

You can create documents that you require for industrial hygiene and safety purposes. These documents include:

Industrial Hygiene and Safety contains the necessary functions for creating, generating, and sending reports. The functions originate in the EH&S Product Safety component. The following individual functions have been integrated:

From here you generate the documents and trigger report shipping.

Caution

For reports without a specification reference (such as accident reports), no document is created in Document Management (DMS) and the report is not stored in Structure linkReport Management. In this case there are no document versions.

Only when it generates the report does the report information system read the information from the generation variant and the template, as well as the current data for the relevant reference object (such as an incident/accident log entry) and output it on the local front end. You can print the document created in this way, but the addresses of the recipients are not entered until the document is shipped. This means the actual document is not complete until the shipping order is created.

The report information system reads out the document data afresh each time the function is called. This ensures that you always work with up-to-date documents.

The shipping document is not stored in the DMS in the standard system. However, all data can be reproduced at any time via the shipping order or evaluation of the change documents.
