Use

Once a usage decision has been made for an inspection lot, you cannot change the results of the inspection. In some situations, however, it may be necessary to change the usage decision. You can change a usage decision:

When you change a usage decision with history, the system creates a change document that contains the relevant fields of the inspection lot with the values before and after the change.

In some cases, you can only change a usage decision with history (for example, if the changes to a material must be documented). The system notifies you of this if it applies to the inspection lot you are changing.

Procedure

  1. Choose Logistics ® Quality management ® Quality Inspection ® Inspection lot ® Usage decision ® Change with history.

  1. Enter an inspection lot number and choose Usage decision (UD).

If you change the usage decision code, the system resets the quality score (if derived from the usage decision) and the follow-up action.
