WCM Object

Definition

Object that supports you during Work Clearance Management.

Use

In WCM objects, you can:

Maintain administrative data, reference object, responsibilities, location and planning data

Assign, set, and reset user status

Assign long texts

Structure

The following table shows which WCM objects occur in which areas of responsibility and features:

The following table contains the system statuses that are possible for all WCM objects:

ID	Name	Description
CRTE	Created	Initial status of a WCM object
PREP	Prepared	Authorization is required. Further changes are not allowed Approvals can be granted. The status can be reset.
CHNG	Change mode	Authorization is required Approvals can be granted The status can be reset.
PWP	Work permit printed	Authorization is required Printing is dependent on approval status
CLSD	Completed	Authorization is required Work clearance management object was processed successfully No more changes/activities allowed
REJC	Rejected	Authorization is required No more changes/activities allowed
INAK	Object deactivated	No more changes/activities allowed The status can be reset.
DLFL	Deletion flag set	No more changes/activities allowed The status can be reset.

Integration

Good communication between departments is essential when using WCM objects:

Work approvals and applications require communication between units performing the work (for example, Plant Maintenance) and administrative units (for example, the security office).

The operational WCD and work clearance applications require communication between administrative units (for example, the security office) and units performing the work (for example, Production).
