Maintaining Available Capacities

Purpose

In this process, you maintain the available capacities of a resource.

Prerequisites

You have already assigned the capacities whose available capacity you want to maintain to the resource. You have already entered the general data for this capacity.

Process Flow

For each capacity of the resource, proceed as follows:

If required, reference or copy an available capacity you have already created.

If you reference the available capacity, you can only edit it directly in the referenced capacity. Continue with step 4.

When you copy an available capacity, you can edit this copy. Continue with step 2.

You maintain the standard available capacity for the capacity.

You maintain the versions of available capacity for the capacity. For each interval of available capacity of a version of available capacity, proceed as follows:

You maintain the general data of the interval of available capacity. You specify whether the interval has a one-day or seven-day cycle duration.
You maintain the shifts of the intervals of available capacity. You enter the number of shifts and their duration for each day of the cycle.

If the available capacity of a version of available capacity is to be used for scheduling and capacity planning instead of the standard available capacity, activate a version of available capacity.
