You use this activity to add materials during the assembly of a product in the POD (CT510
) or outside of the POD (CT511
). You can remove one or more components from an assembly or replace components in the assembly (see Removing, Replacing, and Adding Components and Assembly Point (Assemble Components)).
This activity validates the location, reservation, and time-sensitive key attributes before the material can be consumed by an SFC number (see Material and SFC Number). It supports the consumption of serialized or non-serialized components.

You can configure CT510
and CT511
to behave independently by using different activity rule settings.
