Alerts in the Universal Worklist

Use

To ensure that managers are notified about problems in sufficient time and to enable them to react to them appropriately, warnings are displayed in the form of alerts in the Universal Worklist iView.

Features

The following alerts are triggered by functions that are executed in Manager Self-Service:

  • Critical Posting

    • Prerequisite : The Display Rule Violation as an Alert indicator is set for a rule in the Posting Monitor .

    • Trigger: An alert relating to a critical posting is sent when a posting violates a rule defined in the posting monitor.

    • Alert Category: Alerts in Line Items Area (EP_PCT_MGR_LINE)

  • Critical Variance

    • Prerequisite : The Display Rule Violation as an Alert indicator is set for a rule in the Variance Monitor .

    • Trigger: An alert relating to a critical variance is sent when a variance exists between planned and actual data that violates a rule defined in the variance monitor.

    • Alert Category : Alerts in Variances Area (EP_PCT_MGR_VAR)

  • Threshold Value of Key Figure Exceeded

    • Prerequisite: : In the Key Figure Monitor , the threshold value, as of when an alert is to be sent, has been defined for a key figure under Alert Settings.

    • Trigger : An alert is sent when the key figure reaches or exceeds the defined threshold value.

    • Alert Category : Key Figure Alert (SAP_EPM_KPI_ALERT)
