The posting monitor monitors critical postings such as line items on cost centers or internal orders. Rules (defined either centrally by administrators or by users themselves) specify threshold values. Postings that exceed the defined thresholds are considered critical and listed in the monitor.
The monitor displays the number of critical postings for each rule. Selecting a rule displays the critical postings for that rule. Detailed information from the posting documents can then be displayed.
Rules specify the date from which the postings are to be monitored. If the user chooses
Confirm All Postings for Rule
, this date is set to the current date and the system removes all postings for the rule from the display set. If the administrator or the user changes the date in the rule, the postings appear again in the display set when the data is next updated.
Users can remove individual postings from the display set with
Remove Posting from List
. These postings are then placed into a separate table so that the postings are not displayed when the data is updated. The administrator can permanently delete these postings that are no longer contained in the display set (in Customizing for the particular business package).
When defining a rule, the administrator or user can, by setting the indicator
Display Rule Violation as an Alert
, determine that each posting that violates a rule generates an
Alert in the Universal Worklist
.
For information on additional functions and possible settings for the posting monitor, see Settings Options for the Monitor .
This iView only functions if it is called from a business package using a
Delta Link
and the application parameter
monapp
has been defined in the delta link. This specifies the object type (cost center, internal order, profit center) for which data is to be displayed.
The posting monitor is used in the following business packages:
Business Package for Manager Self-Service (mySAP ERP)
Business Package for Business Unit Analyst 2.0 (mySAP ERP)
In personalization, you have defined which actual objects are relevant for each user of the monitor. You enter the personalization data in Customizing of the ERP system under . A different personalization dialog is relevant for each object type. For more information, see Personalization (CA-GTF-SGF-FPB) .
