Smart UI provides an operating concept for displaying and editing medical patient data in i.s.h.med.

Smart UI is based on SAP interface technologies, such as Net Weaver Business Client and Web Dynpro (ABAP). The applications in Smart UI give you access to an innovative user interface. The functions provided in the Smart UI applications help you to perform your daily work as follows:

  • They enable you to assess the patient's condition.

  • They give you direct and fast access to the respective relevant information.

  • They reduce the number of operating steps required for routine tasks in daily work processes.

  • They support cooperative processes.

  • They more directly integrate access to the i.s.h.med applications (work processes).

  • They reduce implementation and training effort, thus eliminating barriers for new users or when implementing new Smart UI applications in i.s.h.med.

To use the applications in Smart UI, you must have activated the Business Function Clinical System Functional Extensions 6 (ISHMED_MISC01).

Features

The following applications are available to you in Smart UI:

  • The Patient Groups give physicians simple, fast access to the key information about a group of patients.

  • The Patient Profile makes existing patient data available to inpatient physicians in an intuitive interface.

  • The Patient Header provides an overview of the case-related and patient-related data.

  • The Patient Record provides an overview of the patient's key information, lets you edit the displayed objects and create new ones.

  • Smart Chart enables you to display medical data graphically and chronologically and navigate flexibly on the time axis.

  • Task Management receives the upcoming tasks in a component for each patient and displays them in other components.
