The Patient Profile component makes existing patient data available to inpatient physicians in an intuitive interface. They can enter further data and edit existing data. If you use the Task Management component, the patient profile displays upcoming steps in the treatment process and gives you access to functions to edit them.

You can use the patient profile in the Patient Groups and Clinical Work Station components.

To use the patient profile in the patient groups, you must have configured the Patient Groups component. For more information, see Patient Groups.

To use the patient profile in the clinical work station, you must have configured the Clinical Work Station component. For more information about this, see Clinical Work Station.

To display and edit data in the patient profile, at least one inpatient or outpatient admission has to exist.

With the authorization object N_1PROFILE you can assign the users organizational units, for which they may open the patient profile

Features

The Patient Profile component contains the following subcomponents:

  • Patient header that contains key information for patient identification and important medical data. For more information, see Patient Header.

  • Patient record for displaying and editing the patient-related and case-related data. For more information, see Patient Record.

The Patient Profile also contains the following User Interface Building Blocks (UIBBs):

  • Tasks (require a license) that displays upcoming tasks in relation to occupational groups. For more information, see Tasks in Patient Profile.

  • Applications that provide quick links to different functions, such as Order Service, Create Progress Entry and Edit Diagnoses. For more information, see Applications in Patient Profile.

  • Personal note, with which you can enter a text on a patient. The system displays this the next time you open the patient profile. For more information, see Personal Note in Patient Profile.

In addition, application logging is available. You can use application logging to track which user viewed which page of a patient profile and how. For information about this, see Application Logging.
