Function documentationSet Up Waiting List Processing

If you use waiting lists, you can define work steps which will change the status of preregistered order items of a clinical order. You can remove the preregistered order item from the waiting list by entering a deletion reason.

Example Example

You have a hip surgery waiting list. Patients, for whom a clinical order with preregistered order items is entered, should automatically be deleted from the waiting list. In the clinical order, the system should enter surgery or treatment has been performed as the deletion reason.

You can also create, for example, a worklist for clinical order items of patients who have been admitted in the meantime. To do this you use a view of the Preregistrations view type. When you select this view you select the Patient is Admitted selection field. You can specify additional selection criteria, for example, a restriction using the admission date (in the field to the right of Admission/Discharge/Surgery Date). For more information about changing the selection, see Changing the Selection.

End of the example.

Prerequisites

You must have made the settings for the preregistration list and waiting list management and for the clinical order.

Features

Using the Business Add-In (BAdI) for setting the order status you can determine that the system should automatically set the status of a preregistered order item or prompt the user to do so (e.g. when you create an admission or a discharge) using dialog box entries.

As a result of this you will have a list containing entries which you can then manually edit by double-clicking. You can, for example, change the order status.
