You define inpatient scheduling types in the Implementation Guide under  Industry-Specific Component Clinical System Planning Inpatient Admission Appointments Set Up Inpatient Scheduling Types . You use this parameter to create appointments outside of the day program, but within the planning authority. See Organizational Unit-Related Parameters for Day-Based Planning

You define outpatient scheduling types in the Implementation Guide under Industry-Specific Component Clinical System Planning Visit Appointments Define Scheduling Types .

You can define planning object classes in the Implementation Guide under  Industry-Specific Component Clinical System Planning Visit Appointments Maintain Planning Object Classes .

For the relevant user, you create the user parameter for day-based scheduling.
