The Instance Status metric indicates the availability of an instance in the monitored SAP CC Core Server systems.

    Interpreting the Metric Values

    To interpret the metric values, consider this information.

    The possible metric values are:

    • 3 (starting): the process related to the instance has been launched, and thus the instance is executing its starting sequence
    • 1 (waiting): an intermediate status only used for updaters to inform that the instance is registering on the dispatcher and is thus waiting for permission in order to continue the starting sequence of its services
    • 2 (on): the instance's services are started and ready for completing operations
    • 4 (stopping): the instance started executing a shutdown sequence
    • 0 (off): the instance is completely stopped and cannot perform any further operation
