An obstacle is a physical object in the warehouse that impedes the passage of a resource .

Use

In Customizing for  Logistics Execution Task & Resource Management Master Data Site Map Management Define Obstacles , you define obstacles, either as walls (two nodes /corners) or rectangles (four corners/nodes). The obstacles are taken into account when the system determines possible routes via the routing mechanism.

A resource is assigned a task to pick a handling unit from the high rack zone and bring it to the goods issue zone. The route pre-calculated by the system takes into account the racks which constitute obstacles between the source and destination zones. The route forced by the obstacles is calculated via the edges of these obstacles.
