Editing Stocks/Shareholdings/Investments

Procedure

When you enter class data for stocks, shareholdings and investment certificates, you can switch to the screens for entering additional basic data, references and conditions as well as basic data using the pushbuttons at the top of the screen.

The following section describes how to enter the class data and how to assign exchanges.

Entering basic data

Issue area

  • Issuer (required entry)

  • Issue start

  • Nominal value

  • Issue currency (required entry)

  • Issue price/Issue rate

Structure area

  • Security type (required entry)

    You define the selection groups in Customizing by choosing Settings for Special Types of Securities)

  • Stock type (required entry)

  • Quotation (required entry) - percent or unit quoted

  • Stock form

Shareholding area

(for shareholding only)

  • Type

    The shareholding types you have to choose from are created in the securities area in Customizing under Define Shareholding Types.

  • Type

    The shareholding types you have to choose from are created in the securities area in Customizing under Define Shareholding Types.

Fund area

(for shareholding only)

  • Fund type (you define the selection groups you require in Customizing by choosing Settings for Special Types of Securities)

  • Fund category

  • Fund volume

  • % Issue Premium

    The issuing premium in percent is the difference between the redemption price and the issuing price - normally 4%.

Information area

  • Agreement of joint partners

  • Number of issued stocks

For investments:

  • Public funds indicator

    A public fund deals with an open fund whose shares are offered publicly.

  • Indicator whether an investment fund falls under the foreign investment law.

Additional Functions

  • Check

This function checks the class for consistency. Any errors that occur here are displayed in a dialog box. The same checks are carried out when you save the class.

  • Reset

You can use this function when you are in the change mode. It resets the class data to the status it had when it was last saved.

  • Cash Flow

The system displays a simulated cash flow for stocks and bonds on the basis of a purchase with a nominal of 100000.

Here, the system displays a list of the class data, which uses the current security ID number as the underlying.

Class: Reference

  • You can branch to the Issuer data for the relevant business partner from the class data. To do this, choose Start of the navigation path Environment Next navigation step Display issuer End of the navigation path .

  • By choosing Start of the navigation path Environment Next navigation step Change documents, End of the navigation path you can display the change documents for the class data.

  • The status of a class is displayed at the top right-hand side of the basic data screen. There you can also change the status. Alternatively, choose Start of the navigation path Edit Next navigation step Change status. End of the navigation path A class can have the status obsolete, inactive, or active.
