Regulatory Reporting (Germany Only)

(Please note that these functions are primarily designed to meet German reporting requirements and may not be relevant to your country.)

Definition

The regulatory reporting data is special information for a class. These details supplement the class data for regulatory reporting at higher levels.

Structure

You can set up all the fields in the Regulatory Reporting area in the field selection control settings. You can enter the following data:

For stocks (product category 010) and bonds (product category 040):

  • The custody type of a security

  • A key for your securities account statistics

  • An indicator for the tax treatment of the security

  • An indicator for reporting obligations under the German Securities Trading Law (STL)

For bonds (product category 040), you can also enter:

  • Whether the bond is funded

  • Whether it is a secondary loan

For convertible bonds and warrant bonds (product categories 070 and 060), you can only enter the tax treatment and the secondary loans data.

For stocks, there is an additional section for stock capital and voting rights . The entries you make here are needed to run the Report on Voting Rights and Common Stockholder Equity Shares .

You enter the following information relating to a stock:

  • Number of stocks issued

  • Nominal value of the stocks (this can also be entered on the Basic Data tab page)

  • Voting rights per stock

  • Additional capital amount (where relevant, cannot be controlled by field selection)

  • You can use an aggregation key to group different classes that you want to value together. This may be necessary if a company has issued both common stock and preference stock, for example. (You cannot use field selection to control this field.)

The system automatically enters the business partner number of the issuer in the Aggregation key field.

This field is a required field.

If you do not want to evaluate all the stocks from the same issuer together, enter a different aggregation key manually. Because the aggregation key is a required field, you cannot just delete it. You have to overwrite it with another value. When you assign the aggregation keys, make sure that you do not assign the same key twice.

    Note Note

SAP recommends that you accept the business partner number of the issuer as the aggregation key, since this number uniquely identifies the issuer. You should only use a different aggregation key in exceptional cases.

    End of the note.

You must enter the details for stock capital and voting rights manually and keep them up-to-date. They are linked to an Effective from date. If you perform a corporate action (such as a stock split), you may need to change the data manually. You can do this by adding a new line with a new Effective from date containing the changed data.

Note Note

When you make your entries, not that the limit fields contain default proposals in percent.

End of the note.
