Entering Stock Swap Data

Use

Some stocks vest the right to swap a stock for another stock within a certain period for a fixed swap ratio.

Prerequisites

You must have created the class for the stock you want to receive from the swap.

Procedure

  1. Choose ( Insert line ).

  2. In the New ID number field, enter the ID number of the class to which you can swap the stock.

  3. Swap numerator: Here, you enter the number of old stocks that you need to receive the number of new stocks entered in the Swap ratio - denominator field.

  4. Swap ratio - denominator : This field tells you how many new stocks you will receive for a number of old stocks (stored in the numerator).

  5. Clearing amount/currency : The clearing amount is the additional amount that must be paid for each new stock.

  6. Effective from / Effective to : Here, you enter the swap period.

  7. Description: Here, you define an appropriate name for the stock swap.

  8.  To navigate within the table:

    Use the small arrows to display the following columns.

  9. Choose to delete a selected line again.

  10. Choose to save your entries.

Result

As soon as you have created the data for the stock swap in the class data, this right appears amongst the executable rights for the rights category Stock swap in the Exercising Security Rights function, and you can exercise it within the swap period.
