Start and Stop

Depending on the used Application Server and operating system, different options exist for the application start and stop.

Apache Tomcat

The POS Service can be started and stopped via the app manager servlet of Apache Tomcat.

To do so, call the app manager servlet in a web browser using the servlet link:

http://<IP_ADRESSE>:<PORT>/manager

The POS Service can be started or stopped in the app manager servlet by means of the command buttons <Start> and <Stop> of the application “pos-service”.

Upon execution, the status bar shows a message indicating that the application was completely started or stopped.
