This document outlines the factors influencing the sizing of the following applications: POS Service
This document describes the requirements for CPU, RAM, HDD storage, etc. and gives additional information about application scaling.
- The POS Service provides the POS business logic to all POS Thin Clients or Mobile POS Clients in the store via a remote interface.
- It also provides access to master data from the central master data repository and stores finished POS transactions in the Central Transaction Pool.
- One instance of the POS Service serves POS Clients from several stores.
- The POS Service also provides a Central Printing Service to Mobile POS Clients. If the Store Printing Service is not available, the Central Printing Service connects the local store printer via the network.
