Activate a Sample Content

The following steps describe how to install and activate a specific sample content in your system landscape.

Procedure

Activate the Process Template Activities

Follow the steps below to ensure that you have the test data available in the model tables and that all functions assigned as activities to the process template are activated:

  1. Start transaction /NXI/P1_IMPORT – After Import Activities.

  2. In the section Overview of Available Sample Contents in Sample Content, look up the three-digit environment code and the current version number of the sample content you want to activate. You will need this information in the next step.

  3. Set the following parameters on the selection screen:

    • Environment = “<Three-Digit Environment Code>”

    • Version = “<Version Number>”

    • Leave the Function field empty.

    • Options: Mark all available options.

  4. Choose Execute (F8).

Activate All Other Functions

Follow the steps below to ensure that not only the functions related to process template activities are activated, but also all other functions for test purposes:

  1. Start transaction /NXI/P1_MODEL – Start My Environments.

  2. Mark the environment of the sample content you want to activate.

  3. On the top left corner of the screen, choose Continue.

  4. The system displays the Modeling Environment screen.

  5. Above the function hierarchy on the left-hand side of the screen, choose Edit.

  6. Expand all nodes of the function hierarchy and mark all the functions in the hierarchy.

  7. Choose the Activate button above the function hierarchy to activate all selected functions.

Perform Additional Steps for Specific Sample Contents

Some of the sample contents require additional activation or installation steps. You can find them in the chapters named Additional Installation Information which are part of the corresponding sample content descriptions.
