Settings for the Shift Report

Use

In the Customizing activity Define Shift Report Types , you define how the shift reports are to look after generation and which data the report is to contain.

Prerequisites

  • You have defined a signature strategy if the shift reports have to be signed. See also: Digital Signature in the Shift Report

  • If the shift report is to contain the section List of Aggregated Activities , you can define the unit in which the activities are to be displayed in the work center in the costing view. If you do not specify a unit in the work center, the system uses the unit that you specified in the confirmation.

Activities

  1. You create the shift report type .

If you need different kinds of shift reports that have to be structured differently due to differing requirements at the work centers, you must create several report types.

  2. In the settings for the shift report type , you specify the following:

    • Whether the shift reports are to be without gaps

    • Whether the shift reports are to be protected from being changed (see Protecting the PDF Document ).

    • Whether the shift report always has to be checked

If you have selected the checkbox and invoke an existing shift report, the system uses an SHA1 check sum to check whether the shift report has been changed since the last saving.

    • Whether the shift reports have to be signed

    • Whether just one active shift report is allowed

If you have selected the checkbox, the system can only create a new shift report for a work center or hierarchy if the previous shift reports have been completed.

      Note Note

Shift reports that have to be signed are not completed until the signature has been provided. Completion of the preceding shift report is a precondition for the creation of the next one.

Shift reports that do not have to be signed are completed immediately after their generation.

      End of the note.
    • Whether the system is to show the Send E-Mail function key in the processing transactions for the shift report (see Sending Shift Notes or Shift Reports ).

  3. You define the content of the shift report.

Here you must assign a class and a PDF-based print form. The PDF-based print form predefines the layout of the shift report. Separate Customizing is predefined for the standard classes. You invoke this using the Customizing function key. For more information on this Customizing, refer to the IMG documentation for the Customizing activity Define Shift Report Types and Classes and Layouts for Shift Reports .
