Organization Set If you process a price plan in the
Price Planning Workbench
(PPW)
, you use organization sets to specify the organization levels for which the price changes apply.
You can use the following categories of organization sets for price plan categories:
Organization Set Category |
Use of Price Plan Category |
Organizational Levels |
|---|---|---|
Organization |
Manual price change Markdowns |
Distribution chain Price list Site |
Promotion |

To create organization sets in the
Site Groups
category, you must first define promotion-internal site groups.
For more information, see Defining Site Groups .
You can use the clipboard to copy organization sets to another price plan.
You can permanently save organization sets in the
Organization
category. To do so, you must enter a name for the organization set. The organization sets can be saved according to user, price planner group, or globally. You can also control who can use these organization sets. When you have saved the organization sets, and updated the display for the worklist of organization sets, the new organization set appears in the selection tree.
For more information, see Worklist in the Price Planning Workbench .
The following differences apply to the use of organization sets for price plan categories:
For promotion price plans , you can only create one organization set. The system flags this organization set as a default setting and automatically assigns it to all the items in the price plan.
Note
Unlike promotions that you plan using the
Retail Promotion
component, you can define several price lists for promotions that you plan using promotion price plans.
If you want to use an organization set in the
Site Groups
category for a promotion plan, define the relevant site groups on the
Site Groups - Promotion
tab page. You can only include promotion-internal site groups in the organization set. The
Used in Org Set
indicator indicates that a group is used in the organization set. Conversely, the
Synchronous with Site Groups
indicator on the
Organization Sets
tab page indicates whether all specified site groups are included in the organization set.
For more information, see Defining Site Groups .
For manual price plans, you can create as many organization sets as required. You can define an organization set as a default setting. When articles are transferred to the price plan, the system automatically assigns the default organization set to them. You can explicitly assign a specific organization set to article items.
For manual price plans, you can perform mass price changes and mass assignments of organization sets. For more information see Performing Mass Assignment of Organization Sets and Performing Mass Price Changes .
You can delete organization sets in manual and promotion price plans. If an organization set is still assigned to article items in the price plan, the system issues a warning.
You can copy organization sets in manual price plans. The system automatically creates a new organization set with identical organizational levels. You can then change the settings.
For more information, see Processing a Manual Price Plan .
To avoid redundancies you can combine identical organization sets. To do this, the system uses the organization set that you first created in this group.
You can combine organization sets that differ only in the price lists that are assigned to them.
For markdown price plans , you cannot create an organization set. When the system transfers the markdown proposals to the price plan, it automatically creates the relevant organization sets from the corresponding organizational levels. You can neither change nor delete this.

Choose
Add to OrgSet.
The system automatically copies the selected site groups into the detailed view of the organization set. If you have not performed step 1, the system automatically creates an organization set in the
Site Groups
category the first time you add the site groups to the organization set.
If you want to remove site groups from the organization set, choose
Delete from OrgSet
.
Note
If you have already created an organization set in the
Organization
category, the system hides the functions
Add to OrgSet
and
Delete from OrgSet
on the
Site Groups
tab page.
