Run a Mapping Job

You can run your mapping job once all its settings have been defined.

Procedure

  1. In the list of data mapping jobs, select the job you have created, or open the job you want to run and click Run....
  2. From the Select Source File and Run Options dialog box, choose:
    • The network folder of your source file, if required.

    • The source instance of your mapping definition.

    • With Traceability Log. For more information on the traceability logs, see Traceability Logs.

    • Test Run. This option allows you to perform a test run, and check for errors in the import and traceability logs, without sending any data to the ACDOCU table. Once you have corrected the errors, you can run a complete job again to send the data.

  3. Choose Run.
A message informs you that a new task to run the job has been created.
  4. From the Runs tab, open the last run to:
    • Consult the different run, mapping and import statuses of the run. For more information, see Run, Mapping, and Import Statuses.

    • Choose Download Traceability Log to analyze mapping log and import log entries more deeply. For more information, see Traceability Logs.

    • Choose Download CSV File if you selected a mapping definition with a file as target. For more information, see Create a Data Mapping Definition with a File as Target.

Depending on the update mode selected when importing data, rejects are not handled the same way:
    • When importing data in update mode Delete - all FS items, all subassignments or Overwrite, generated rows with status "Success" are imported into the ACDOCU table, and generated rows with status "Error", if any, are rejected.

    • When importing data in update mode Add, all generated rows, including rows with status "Success", are rejected, if there is at least one generated row with status "Error".
