Schedule a Mapping Job

Schedule a mapping job to run automatically at a scheduled time, without any manual input.

Context

You can schedule a mapping job to run:
  • Once, at a defined time.

  • Following a recurrence pattern.

Procedure

  1. Create a new job or open an existing one.
  2. From the Schedule tab, choose Enable Scheduling.
  3. In the Scheduling Options section, select Start Immediately or define a Recurrence Pattern.
    For example:
    • Weekly

    • Every: for example, 1 (weeks)

    • On: for example, Monday

    • End: Optional

    • On Non-Working Day: Optional

  4. Optionally, you can overwrite the values of the Global Parameters if not defined in the mapping definition.

    You can use the following keywords to dynamically define Fiscal Year and Fiscal Period values:

    • For Fiscal Year:

      • [Current Year] - Uses the current year from the system date.

      • [Previous Year] - Uses the year immediately preceding the current one from the system date.

    • For Fiscal Period:

      • [Current Period] - Uses the current month from the system date.

      • [Previous Period] - Uses the month immediately preceding the current one from the system date.

  5. Optionally, choose to activate the following options:
    • Allow this job to be run on demand if you want to allow this job to be run manually even if it's scheduled.

    • Don't run this job again if it's already running if you want to skip the next run as long as the job is not finished running.

    • With Traceability Log if you want to generate a traceability log for this job. For more information, see Run a Job with Traceability Log and Configure Destination for Remotely Stored CSV Files.

  6. Choose Save.
