Create a Mapping Job from a Definition

You can create a mapping job directly from an existing definition in one go.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met:
  • Definition Status: The mapping definition must be valid.

  • Authorizations: You must have the functional right to create jobs (SAP_GRDC_RDM_WRITE or SAP_GRDC_RDM_CREATE_UPDATE_JOB). If you lack this permission, the Create Job button is disabled (greyed out). For more information, see Define and Bundle Roles on SAP Business Technology Platform.

  • Access Restrictions: You must have the necessary access permissions for the specific definition. Definitions with active access restrictions that you do not belong to are not visible or available for job creation. For more information, see Define Access Restrictions.

Procedure

  1. Open the data mapping definition you want to use to create a job.
  2. Choose Create Job.
  3. From the Create Job from Definition dialog box, enter a Job Name and a Job Description.
  4. Choose Create.
The job opens after it is created.
  5. Choose Edit to modify the job's properties or Run to run the job.
