Create a Data Mapping Definition with an ACDOCU Table as Source

Create a data mapping definition using an ACDOCU table as source.

Prerequisites

To use the ACDOCU table as source, you must first create a dedicated destination in the SAP BTP Cockpit, to let the application know the location of the ACDOCU table you want to use. For more information, see Configure Destinations for ACDOCA or ACDOCU as Source Instances.

You must create your mapping file in Microsoft Excel, as described in the chapter Structure of the Mapping File.

Procedure

From the Data Mapping Definitions page, choose the Create button.
In the General Information section, enter a name and a description.

Note

If you want to add a description in another language, you must display SAP Group Reporting Data Collection in this language, by modifying the Language & Region setting under User Settings, then enter the description and save the definition. If you haven't added any translations yet, the English description is used by default when displaying SAP Group Reporting Data Collection in another language.
Optionally, select a parent definition. For more information, see Create Hierarchies in Data Mapping Definitions.
Optionally, choose the Runnable from Packages option. For more information, see Specific Mapping File Structure for Jobs Runnable from Packages and Run a Job from Within a Package.
In the Source Definition section, select the Source: ACDOCU Table.
In the Source Instance Used field, select an instance from the available instances retrieved from the SAP BTP Cockpit.

Note

In the Source Filters section, you can choose to apply filters on ACDOCU dimensions.

You can also use predefined keywords to define source filter values. For more information, see Use Predefined Keywords in Source Filters.
Note

The list of fields to be processed by data mapping depends on the columns selected in your mapping file. If a field is selected as an input column, then the field is read from the source. If not, the field isn't read and the rows are aggregated.
Note

When applying the Period Mode filter, you should consider the following:
You can define a period mode in two places:
- When creating your data mapping definition, the Period Mode field, select a source filter allows you to define the period mode (Periodic or Year-to-Date) for the source data you want to read. This setting is optional.
- When running your job, the Period Mode option allows you to define the period mode for the target data you want to write. Periodic is the default option.
If you don't define a period mode in your data mapping definition, the period mode selected when running the job will be applied for both reading and writing. After running the job, the job run header displays the period mode which has been used for writing data. If the period modes selected in the definition and in the job are different, the mapping log displays a warning message.

In Data Mapping apps, the "#" sign doesn't mean "empty". When you create a data mapping definition, if you enter "#" as a source filter field value, only rows that contain the value "#"are retrieved. If you leave the source filter field value empty, then only the rows with empty values in this field are retrieved.
Caution

Use Consolidation Version and Consolidation Group as source filters in the mapping definition to avoid duplicate or erroneous amounts.
1. In the Field column, select a dimension for which you want to restrict values.
2. In the Operator column, first select Include or Exclude, then a comparison operator such as Equal to or Greater than.

  The In operator allows you to select multiple field values for the same source filter.
3. In the Value column, specify a or several values depending on the source field selected.

  You can add as many filters as you want using the Add button.
In the Mapping File section, select the mapping file you have created.

If the mapping file contains errors, they will be displayed in the Errors section.

You can download and correct your mapping file in Excel by choosing the Download Mapping File link. After you have corrected the errors, upload the mapping file once again.

Caution

Your mapping file can't exceed the size of 6 MB.
In the Import Options section, select the different import options you want to apply. For more information, see Import Options.
In the Traceability section, choose if you want to force generate a traceability log file for each job run, or upon request when the job is run. For more information, see Force Generate Traceability Logs.
Choose Including Mapping File Sheets if you want the different mapping file sheets of your data mapping file to be displayed in the traceability log. For more information, see Traceability Logs.
In the Access Restrictions section, you can optionally choose to restrict access to your mapping definition by selecting specific dimension values. Once the restriction set, the application compares these dimension values to the global parameters of the user. If the global parameters of the user are included in the access restrictions of the definition, the definition is visible to the user. For more information, see Define Access Restrictions.

Note

You can select several dimension values or leave some of the fields empty.
Choose Create.

Note

Once data from an "ACDOCU table" source is processed by the mapping, its document type is by default set to DT = 07.
