Use Predefined Keywords in Source Filters

You can use predefined keywords to define source filter values instead of fixed values. This makes your data mapping definitions more flexible.

You can use predefined keywords for the following source filters:

  • Fiscal Year

  • Fiscal Period

  • Consolidation Unit

  • Consolidation Group

  • Consolidation Version

  • Consolidation Chart Of Accounts

These predefined keywords are available for table-based data sources. They automatically select the appropriate values from the default values defined in:
  • The Set Global Parameters app, for data mapping jobs run manually from data mapping apps.

  • The Global Parameters values defined in the Schedule section of the job, for data mapping jobs run automatically.

  • The package context, for data mapping jobs run from packages. For more information, see Run a Job from Within a Package.

  • The API settings, for data mapping jobs run from the Group Journal Entries - Import API. For more information, see Group Journal Entries - Import API.

These keywords are specific to each data source. You use them to define source filter values for all table-based source types, as listed below:

Depending on the field, you can select a keyword from the value help dialog box or enter it manually.
  • For fields with selectable values, select the keyword directly from the dialog box.

  • For fields without selectable values, type an opening bracket ( [ ) and select the keyword from the dropdown list.
