First Steps in Recipe Editing

Use

This section provides you with an overview of the functions that are available when you access recipe editing and the points you must take into account. You learn how to create the basic data for a recipe and access existing recipes. Based on this, you can then enter the detailed data for the different subject areas in the recipe.

Integration

To edit recipes, use the recipe workbench to call the recipe information system.

Description

Creating Recipes

You create the first change state of a recipe. You specify the key and type of the recipe and the validity of the first change state (according to time and lot size). Depending on the initial situation, you either create a new recipe or copy a change state of an existing recipe.

Creating Change States

You load an existing recipe and create a new change state for it whose validity as regards time is after the valid-from date of the recipe. By specifying the valid-from date of the new change state, you also shorten the validity of the preceding change state.

Creating Versions

You create a version for a recipe. To create a version, copy the recipe data and adapt it to your requirements.

Creating Drafts

You create a draft for a version. You can create drafts independently of a version, but only for objects that support versioning. Drafts do not have a validity period or a status.

Changing Recipes

You load a change state of an existing recipe and change the data of this change state. The changes are valid for the entire validity period of the change state.

Displaying Recipes

You load a change state of an existing recipe and display its data.
