CMC Settings

Use

In order to work with the CMC you must do the following in Customizing:

Note Note

If necessary, you can also maintain CMC priority calculation rules for each order code and responsible work center. You do this in your productive system. However, usually CMC priority calculation rules per order code and plant are sufficient. For information on CMC priority calculation rules on work center level, see Maintaining Work Center-Specific Priority Settings .

End of the note.
  • Maintain a CMC profile to define all of the general parameters that influence the functionality and configuration of the CMC.

Note Note

SAP provides a default CMC profile SAP_01 for use. However, you can also define your own CMC profiles.

End of the note.
  • Maintain CMC user status groups to group several user statuses in 'logical' folders in the CMC order hierarchy and determine the sequence in which they are displayed, as well as maintain CMC user status profiles to determine the CMC user status groups that are displayed in the CMC.

  • Maintain CMC inventory groups to support mapping of the different conditions of rotable parts, such as serviceable and unserviceable, per plant. You assign storage locations or valuation types to these groups.

Caution Caution

Even if you do not want to use the grouping feature, because you only use one batch, class, storage location, or valuation, you must maintain at least one CMC inventory group in Customizing.

End of the caution.
