Procedure documentation Executing or Displaying Work Items from Within a Message  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

In e-mail messages you can define whether the recipient is able to display or execute a work item or to display the Workflow inbox directly from within the message. To do so, define that the relevant links or executable attachments are generated in the message.

In the case of user decisions, you can define that a link is generated in the e-mail for each decision option (for example, approved and refused).

The options available depend on the granularity of the message. The granularity defines whether the message contains just one or multiple notifications (see also: Granularity and Message Structure).

Procedure

...

Create a subscription in the administration application (see also: Defining Subscriptions).

       1.      On the Message tab page in the Delivery Type field, select a delivery type for e-mail messages (HTML Message or Text-Only Message).

If you want to define that the receiver can display or execute a work item directly from the message, first check in transaction SWFVISU whether settings for visualization have already been defined for the relevant single step tasks (see also: Parameters for Work Item Visualization in the UWL).

If this is the case, the settings defined in transaction SWFVISU apply for work item display and execution. The relevant settings in the subscription will be ignored.

If, in transaction SWFVISU, it is defined that work items are displayed or executed by using a WebDynpro application, you must set the parameter WD_HOST in the general settings. For more information about general settings, see General Settings.

       2.

       3.      In the Granularity field, select the required entry and in the subsequent fields, define which links or executable attachments are to be created.

The possible entries are shown in the tables below:
