Accessing Objects via Meta Object Types

You can access objects for direct translation by using meta object types.

If you want to call up an object directly for translation in transaction Translation: Initial Screen (SE63), you must know the following:

• The translation object type, such as data element short text or message long text
• The technical name of the object you want to translate, such as SPRAS

Meta object types make it far easier for you to call up objects directly for translation in the situations described in sections Object Types with Multiple R3TR Transport Objects in the Transport Environment and Object Types with two-part Technical Names.
