Downloading SnapshotsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Context

You can download snapshots created in an SAP system.

Procedure

  1. Select one of the following tools:
    • In SAP system (SAP GUI): Open transaction SNAPSHOTS.
    • Open SAP MMC.
  2. Select one or more snapshots that you want to download.
    • SAP system (SAP GUI): Select one or more lines.
    • SAP MMC: From the context menu of the SAP system or instance, choose: Start of the navigation path All Tasks Next navigation step Open Snapshot End of the navigation path. Select one or more snapshots from which you want to download,‎ and choose Save.
  3. Only relevant for SAP system (SAP GUI): In the menu, choose one of the following entries:
    • Start of the navigation path Snapshot Next navigation step Download End of the navigation path.
    • Start of the navigation path Snapshot Next navigation step Download Without Dialog End of the navigation path.
    With each snapshot you download, the ABAP system asks which directory you want to save it in. If you want to prevent this prompting, choose Start of the navigation path Download Without Dialog End of the navigation path. The selected snapshots are then all saved in the same directory selected at the start of the download.
  4. Only relevant for SAP MMC: Choose a location you want to save the snapshot in:

Results

The downloaded snapshots are now saved in the directory you selected and and can be viewed again from the context menu by choosing (Start of the navigation path Open with Next navigation step SAP Management Console End of the navigation path) directly in the SAP Management Console.
