Compare and Adjust to Source 
This function compares the structure and Business Content assigned to your Solution Manager project, with your source, e.g. a template or the Business Process Repository (BPR). The source can change after you have copied elements from it into your project, e.g. because the template was adjusted to a new software release, template errors were corrected, or a new version of the BPR scenarios has been delivered. The Compare and Adjust function copies these changes and updates your project and its assigned objects.
You can copy structures and structure elements with their Business Content, e.g. documentation and IMG objects, from a template or the Business Process Repository, into your project. For further information about the copy function, see Copy Identified Changes between Source and Target.
The Compare and Adjust function compares versions in a background job.
If you choose the option New Version of Original in compare mode, the program puts the copied elements, e.g. the current source version of the project structure and Business Content, in the project. The system automatically uses the last version of the source for the comparison.
Note
You can choose another version as the comparison source, in the project system landscape definition in the project administration (transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN).
If you choose Current Version in Project in compare mode, the program compares the current structure of your project and the Business Content with the original status of the source when it was copied into the project. You can see all the changes you have made in the project. You can also see all improvements in future template versions (roll-back).
You can copy the changes found by the background job, into your project, in the Business Blueprint (SOLAR01) and Configuration (SOLAR02).
You have copied structures into your project from one of the following sources:
The Business Process Repository of business processes and scenarios delivered by SAP.
A template.
Another project structure, using the possible entries help in the Structure tab in the Business Blueprint (SOLAR01).
An entire project, using the Copy function in the Project Administration (SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN).

Compare and Adjust Changes to URLs in the Transactions tab. The system does not mark changes to other objects in the Transactions tab, e.g. changes to BC Sets and documents or updates of CATTs/ eCATTS are not marked.
Copy new or changed elements from the source into your project.
Copy deletions from the source into your project.
