Key Figures in the SNI Monitor
Key figures are time series data regarding the demand, receipt, and stock situation of location products at the customer location or supplier location.
The following documentation provides information about the key figures in the SNI Monitor. The descriptions of the key figures refer to one individual location product. Different grid arrangements are available in the SNI Monitor. In the case of a grid arrangement that aggregates according to product, a key figure can refer to more than one location.
Customers and suppliers use reports in SAP ERP to transfer data relating to the demand, receipt, and stock situation. In addition, customers and suppliers can also enter certain key figures on the Web user interface of SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC). SAP SNC then determines some of the key figures from this data. Thus, the Firm Receipts
key figure can be a total derived from purchase orders and scheduling agreement delivery schedule lines.
Other key figures are calculated by SAP SNC. The following overview shows which key figures are determined by SAP SNC through the transfer of data from the ERP system or through manual data entry, and which key figures are calculated by SAP SNC.

Depending on the scenario, either the ERP system of the customer or that of the supplier is the system that supplies the data for the key figures. Likewise, depending on the scenario, the demands represent the demand at the customer location or the supplier location.
As of enhancement package 2 of SAP ERP 6.0, you can use the ROEMPROACT2
, RCMPROACT2
, and RPRTPROACT
reports to transfer data. If you are using SAP ERP 5.0, you can use the ROEMPROACT
and RCMPROACT
reports. Only with ROEMPROACT2
, RCMPROACT2
, and RPRTPROACT
can you separately transfer in-transit quantities, planned demands, firm demands, and forecast demands.
You can obtain more information about which ERP data contributes to the individual key figures as follows:
Using ROEMPROACT2
, RCMPROACT2
, RPRTPROACT
: See Selection Parameters for Data Transfer for Contract Manufacturing (new reports).

The following provides you with some information about key figures that are determined by SAP SNC from ERP data or from manual input on the Web user interface. The technical name of a key figure as it is saved in time series data management (TSDM) is given in brackets below.
Planned Demand
(PLANNEDDEMAND
)
This key figure comprises demand data that has as-yet unconfirmed planning character.
Firm Demand
(ALLFIRMDEMAND
= FIRMDEMAND
)
This key figure comprises demand data that is firm or binding in nature. Note that in the standard system, the FIRMDEMANDWO
key figure from order document management (ODM) is not evaluated for firm demand.
Forecast
(FORECAST
)
This key figure comprises forecast demands.
Subcontracting Reservation
(SCRESERVE
)
This key figure is only relevant for products that are assigned to the customer and products for which the customer transfers data from his or her ERP system. This key figure is the total of the demands from subcontracting reservations that are not assigned to a supplier. The standard system does not take this key figure into account in the projected stock of such a product. For more information, see Calculation of Projected Stock.
Planned Receipts
(PLANSHIP
= PLANSHIPTS
)
This key figure comprises various receipts (depending on the category of the location product) that have as-yet unconfirmed planning character.
Firm Receipts
(ORDER
= ORDERTS
)
This key figure comprises various receipts (depending on the category of the location product) that are firm or binding in nature. Note that in the standard, the ALLORDER
, VGORDER2
, and WOORDER
key figures from order document management (ODM) are not evaluated for the Firm Receipts
key figure.
Note
If you change the standard configuration of SAP SNC to use ODM key figures for calculating firm receipts, do not send firm receipts using XML messages of type ProductActivityNotification
from your SAP ERP system to SAP SNC. Otherwise, SAP SNC would calculate firm receipts twice (from the purchase orders and from the XML messages).
In-Transit Quantity
(INTRANSIT
= INTRANSITOR
+ INTRANSITTS
)
This key figure comprises advanced shipping notifications. Note that in the standard system, the INTRANSITOR
key figure from order document management (ODM) is not evaluated for the In-Transit Quantity
key figure.
The following key figures are calculated by SAP SNC:
Demand
(DEMAND
)
This key figure is an aggregation of the key figures Planned Demand
, Firm Demand
, and Forecast
. You can configure the aggregation of the demand. A standard setting is supplied for the aggregation. To check the standard setting, in Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration
, choose . To define your own algorithm to calculate demand, in Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration
, choose . For more information, see the Customizing documentation.
Projected Stock
(PROJSTOCK
)
This key figure represents the demand/stock balance of a location product at the end of a period. The projected stock is the stock of a product that is expected to be available at the location at the end of the period. The system calculates the key figure from demand, receipt, and stock data for the location product. Planners can use this key figure to see how the stock situation of the location product develops over time and when critical situations are likely to occur for that location product. For more information, see Calculation of Projected Stock.
You can configure how SAP SNC calculates the projected stock by defining profiles for the projected stock, in Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration
under . A default profile is supplied. To view the settings for the default profile, in Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration
, choose .
Note
The standard system does not take into account the Subcontracting Reservation
key figure in the projected stock of a product at the customer location.
Periods in which the projected stock reaches a critical value are highlighted in color in the SNI Monitor. Moreover, the system generates corresponding inventory alerts. For more information, see the Minimum Stock Level and Maximum Stock Level sections.
Minimum Stock Level
(MINSTOCK
) and Maximum Stock Level
(MAXSTOCK
)
Minimum and maximum stock levels are stock levels agreed upon by the customer and the supplier, which the projected stock of a location product is not allowed to exceed or fall short of. Depending on your settings, the system uses a firm non-demand-dependent minimum or maximum stock level, or calculates the demand-dependent minimum or maximum stock level for each period dynamically from a fixed minimum and maximum days' supply. For more information, see Determination of Minimum and Maximum Stock Level and Master Data and Settings for the SNI Monitor.
Minimum Proposal
(MINPROPOSAL
) and Maximum Proposal
(MAXPROPOSAL
)
Minimum and maximum proposals are the location product quantities that a location additionally needs in a period so that the projected stock of that period reaches the minimum or maximum stock level. The system calculates these key figures as follows:
Minimum proposal = minimum stock level - projected stock
Maximum proposal = maximum stock level - projected stock
If the projected stock is greater than the minimum stock level, the minimum proposal quantity is zero. If the projected stock is greater than the maximum stock level, the maximum proposal quantity is zero.
Days' Supply
(DAYSOFSUPPLY
)
The days' supply of a location product in a period shows how long the projected stock of a period would be sufficient to cover the demands of the subsequent periods if no receipts were to occur in those periods. The days' supply is a location-product-specific parameter. This key figure is therefore not available when you select the Product Overview
grid arrangement on the SNI details screen. For more information, see Calculation of Days' Supply.
Released QM Inspection Lot Stock
(RELQSTCK
)
This key figure represents the stock of the customer location product that the customer has reserved for quality inspection. This stock is considered as future planned receipt at the date of the release.
Note
To enable SAP SNC to include the Released QM Inspection Lot Stock
key figure in the SNI Monitor, you must select the Enable Transfer Released QM Lot Stock to SNI
checkbox in Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration
under .
Including the Released QM Inspection Lot Stock
key figure in SNI Monitor is available as of certain Support Packages, or by implementing certain SAP Notes. For more information, see SAP Note 1867428
and its related SAP Notes.
The system uses the standard time series data type INVM1
for the key figures in the SNI Monitor.
You can change the range of evaluated key figures for SNI. To do so, configure the selection mode for SNI in Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration
under . In addition, you can change how the system evaluates key figures. To do so, change the settings in Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration
under .
